Funding Support available for Environmental Management accreditations

We are all aware of the importance of Environmental Management Systems and to that end Construction Target has (via C02 Sense) established some funded support to enable you or members of your supply chain to gain accreditation in ISO14001 or BS8555.

Your business can cut costs, reduce carbon emissions and work towards IS14001 by implementing an Environmental Management System (EMS). And now, thanks to CO2Sense & Construction Target, you can join this programme for just half the normal cost & also become a member of Construction Target.

Take advantage of all these benefits by taking part in the EMS Project – your business will get:

·                 Four full day workshops (monthly from November) that provide you with the knowledge, tools and techniques to implement an effective environmental management system, essential for gaining ISO14001 or BS8555

·                 Three days of support on your site from an experienced EMS advisor to help implement the system in your business

·                 Support spread over 6 months to  create an EMS that fits with your business

·                 Level 2 membership of Construction Target offering access to tender opportunities, free invites to meet the buyer and procurement workshops

Training dates are as follows with the venue being in York:

Phase 1                               8th November 2011
Phase 2                               6th December 2011
Phase 3                              10th January 2012
Phases 4 & 5                        7th February 2012

Please note that places are limited & will be offered on a first come first seved basis.

So far, this EMS project has helped over 60 companies to make cost savings over £628,500 per year, get access to tenders and new income worth over £8,886,300 and reduce carbon emissions by 23,200 tonnes of CO2e per year. READ MORE HERE
