Interserve are currently delivering a number of projects in the Yorkshire area and are in the final stages of development on a number of new & exciting projects which are anticipated to start later this year.
Interserve are fully committed to working with the local Supply Chain and as part of their commitment would like to raise the awareness of potential opportunities for local businesses in relation to future construction works via the above “Meet the Buyer” event. This event will bring together representatives from Interserve Project Services, Interserve Engineering Services and local Sub-contractors and Suppliers from the Yorkshire & Humber area.

VIP access is available for LEVEL 2 members of Construction Target. This will entail an opportunity to pre-book a one-to-one appointment with Interserve between 8:00 and 8:30. On the 15th July Interserve hosted a ‘Meet the Buyer’ event in Leeds, which saw over 200 local Subcontractors meet representatives from the Construction and Engineering Services business units and hear all about their current and future opportunities across the Yorkshire Region.
During the event businesses were given the opportunity of a “One to One” session with buyers from Interserve to obtain more details on specific opportunities. Companies were given the opportunity to register their details on Interserve’s Supply Chain database with a view to progressing to become a member of their supply chain.
The event was organised by Construction Target of the Construction Sector Network to promote opportunities for local businesses in the area.
Since the event, Interserve have being reviewing the Company details obtained on the day and processing registrations on their supply chain database. Already, some businesses have benefited from the event by receiving tender enquiries for future works.
Interserve are planning further events later in the year.
GMI Construction has been appointed as the main contractor for the construction of the new community stadium for Rotherham United Football Club. The development marks a significant milestone in the regeneration of Rotherham and will provide a whole host of future opportunities and investment into the South Yorkshire area.
As part of GMI Construction’s commitment to corporate social responsibility, the team would like to raise the awareness of potential opportunities for local sub-contractors in relation to the construction works.
A ‘Meet the Buyer/Contractor’ event will be taking place on Tuesday 31st May 2011 at Magna Science Centre in Rotherham. The event will bring together key decision makers from GMI Construction and local sub-contractors and suppliers from the Yorkshire and Humber area, in particular Rotherham based businesses.
